Growers and Nougat Makers

A DELICIOUS VISIT TO PIERRE AND PHILIPPE SILVAIN, GROWERS AND NOUGAT MAKERS IN PROVENCE

Pierre and Philippe are the sixth generation of farmers and they make nougats and other sweets with the honey from their beehives and with almonds and fruits from their orchards. Making Nougat is a family affair, and the recipe has been handed down from their grandmother. The environmentally-friendly farm meets strict standards.

Our tour offer

– The Silvain brothers are enthusiastic about sharing their passion for the countryside, agriculture and the very special terroir, and have designed a friendly space for transmitting the authentic story of their almond trees, their honey and their nougats.

Farmers & Nougat makers, the Silvain brothers grow the products they use and take you through all the production steps, through to the final product.

– Twenty-minute slide show on the history of Provence and their establishment (in French, English and German)

– Visit the nougaterie with its copper kettles and the sweet fragrance of honey cooking. Learn about how nougat is made, and taste still-warm nougat fresh from the kitchen

– See the elegant display of the Silvain sweets. You can relax on the patio or under the bower and enjoy sorbets, ice-creams and other sweets.
